The sensory book incorporates fine motor skills activity suited for children from years one through to 10 covering both children with disabilities and non-disabilities, but more on the children with disabilities, as these pages were designed with a special needs child.
The book was designed alongside a special needs child 9-year-old Aston-Martin, as to what he likes, and what keeps him actively involved in an activity, and with several Occupational Therapy and also Speech Pathology sessions, it was evident as to what works for Aston-Martin and this could also help other children like him.
In the book is 4 pages double sided (8 slides) with over 20+ skill sets to help enhance the child’s needs throughout their development ages, having them feel different types of material and its uses, knowing how to unzip, tie shoelaces, undo belts, buttons, Velcro, learn the time, days of the week, weather, month etc. Able to add more pages.
The book also helps with memory, by being able to learn how to tie shoelaces, undo buttons and button up, snap pocket, buckles how to operate, zipper the sensation and learning how to zip up clothing and much more fully designed to help those special needs children but also younger children on developing their fine motor skills.
With puzzle, and also a new feature which has kids Sudoku, giving those geniuses a real thinking level with numbers.
Children will need to utilize their cognitive thinking levels and place the Velcro numbers in to the square and also making sure no other number is twice in any row.
The book is designed by Aston-Martin who is a special needs child, and it was noted that it helped his cognitive ability, hands on learning, self-solving skills, hand and eye coordination and colour perception learning. He also enjoyed playing with the book as its all hands on.
