I have to admit, it was interesting, to see how many shapes i can actually remember naming but making them was um, yeah challenging. I have as yet not got up to 72 shapes but i'm about less then half of a third way their! Enjoyed it with dad, we sat together to see how many shapes we can do, we did have to write down the ones we got, and then yep, you guess it, we had to start 'Googleing shapes'.

My First Impressions

Well, at first i thought it was going to be easy, as i thought the cube would just automatically make the shape, but that did not happen. I continued trying different directions and began to make shapes i did not know off. It was not easy, but kept me busy for a while. We ended up having to take a photo of the shape so we knew what shape we have already done, as we did not know how to name them so when you have to start googleing shapes and taking photos then you know your doing well, as you have accomplished the ones you know, and now your doing the ones you never knew existed, Parallelogram, Trapezoid, Rhombus, Octahedron, Tetrahedron, Dodecahedron.

Pros and Cons

Pros - enjoyed it a lot, spent a fair amount of time on it, and gets difficult when you have to google shapes and try to make those shapes. Enjoyed it with dad, I got up to 12 shapes, and then it was googling time to research more shapes and then try to make them. Good for fine motor skills, which helps me a lot, so dad says.

Cons - gets harder and harder as the shapes do become complex, and you do have to write them all down, so you don't redo any shapes. Not that this is a bad thing. I did enjoy it, and it sure makes you think with memory skills, so you remember what shapes you have done.

The Final Score

Well, not easy comes to mind, but educational in finding out shapes i never knew, although dad says, "oh yeah, i remember that one", like he actually knows them all! But it was enjoyable and fun, and does wonders with memory as you do have to remember the shapes you have done, hands and eye coordination is great, and just like the sphere of cognition it does help with fine motor skills. I would have to give this a 9/10 simply as its well thought off, and to get to 72 shapes i think your IQ would need to be up in the 150+ direction. It makes you really think outside the box.
